Officer Roles and Duties
The elected officers of the organization shall include: President, President-Elect, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The term of office shall be for one year with the exception of the President-Elect, and persons shall be eligible to run for and hold the same office for a second term but no more than two terms before taking a one year break.
The President shall preside at all meetings of the organization and of the Executive Board. He/She shall be an ex-officio member at all committees and create the business agenda.
The
Vice-President shall perform the duties of the President in his/her
absence, and shall assume the duties of the office until the next election if
the office of the President becomes vacant.
He/She shall oversee the work of the committees.
The
Secretary shall keep accurate record of all meetings of the organization
and of the Executive Board. He/She shall provide members with notice of regular meetings,
publish the business agenda, maintain a membership list, handle the
correspondence of the organization, and perform such other duties as the
President or Executive Board shall designate.
The Treasurer shall receive all dues and other monies, and shall make disbursements only as directed by the Executive Board. He/She shall make a financial report at each general meeting in addition to a written annual report.

place so that the Board members can become the liaisons back to the Advisory
Board for the activities of each of the committees.

a list of businesses that are in the area

contacts with the businesses for support of SMA

the contacts as appropriate
PTG
Support
Review
the by-laws for the PTG and Advisory Board to ensure that there are no
conflicts between the two groups
Have
the PTG President be an ex-officio member of the Advisory Board and have a
report from the PTG President on the activities of the PTG including any
support requirements for the Advisory Board
Assist
the PTG in fund raisers (as parents/educators not as Board members) related
to all school needs as well as the needs of the various committees
Volunteers are also needed for various school programs and activities including the following:
Homeroom Parent - responsible for calling parents regarding upcoming classroom activities such as bringing in treats for halloween and valentine parties.
Coach/Asst. Coach - needed for all levels of sports at SMA.
Traffic Director - direct vehicle and pedestrian traffic before and after school to ensure safety at our school grounds (8:00 - 8:15 a.m. daily).
Lunch Server - set up and distribute hot lunches to students during lunch periods (11:45 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. daily).
Bazaar - held in the fall (October) and in the spring (May) of each year. Volunteers are needed to run game, food and ticket booths.
Donut Sale - parents of 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders alternate in helping with the donut sale during Sunday masses. Proceeds from each sale go to the class fund of the grade assigned.
