Well, we are off to the beginning of what promises to be a
fantastic year!! I have some mighty big shoes to fill! Shellye Smith
did an exceptional job last year as President bringing the school
(parents, teachers and students) together.
Let me give you a little background about myself. I am a St.
Michael’s alumnae, I have a little sister that graduated in 2002 and
my daughter started at the Preschool and is now in 3rd
grade. How time flies when you’re having fun! Needless to say, I
have seen the Academy go through many changes and St. Michael’s still
remains near and dear to my heart!
This year, the theme of the PTG board is INVOLVEMENT!! It is only
with the active participation of each and every parent, that we can
give our children the education and most importantly, the experience
that they deserve!! There are going to be so many opportunities for
you to take advantage of to become more informed on your child’s
day-to-day activities and events here at the Academy.
The PTG Board is committed to keep the communication flowing!
I told you that you would have a chance to stay informed….well we
have opportunities for you to volunteer…the Fall Festival, the Cookie
Dough Fundraiser, the Costume Fundraiser and the Valentines Dance are
just some of the things that we are working on right now…if you are
interested in volunteering, please let us know!
